Snapbar vs Activation King: Booth Software You Run, or an Activation We Deliver?
Frequently Asked Questions
How much does Activation King cost?

AI Photo Booth Pro publishes three monthly tiers: Starter at $49, Pro AI at $79 and Ultimate AI at $149, each shown discounted from a higher list price and promotional at the time of checking, September 2026. AI credits are bought separately from the subscription, and hardware and their mosaic product are priced separately again.

Is Activation King photo booth software or a photo booth service?

Software, plus hardware. Activation King licenses booth software to the people who run booths, and sells turnkey units alongside it. You supply the device, the credits and the person on site. Snapbar is the other model: a delivered activation from $1,995 with the platform, displays, lead capture and delivery included.

How many devices can run on one Activation King license?

Two. Their pricing page states "2 devices, unlimited events" and that one subscription activates on two devices simultaneously on any platform mix. A third capture point means a second subscription. Snapbar runs in a browser with unlimited simultaneous devices and no charge for devices or concurrency.

Does either one send event leads to a CRM during the event?

Snapbar does: lead data is delivered in real time into HubSpot, Slack, signed webhooks and Zapier plus a partner API, and that delivery is pilot-gated per account and configured with our team rather than self-serve. Activation King publishes per-event lead export; CRM, webhook and API destinations are not stated publicly.

Which is better for a corporate brand activation?

For a single brand running one activation, a delivered experience usually costs less to stand up than assembling software, credits, a device and a crew, and it arrives with displays and lead capture included. For a business running many events a year, an operator license like Activation King's spreads further and is the better fit.

Do you need to buy hardware to run an AI photo booth?

No. Activation King sells a 32-inch turnkey unit starting at $8,500.00 but doesn't require it. Snapbar runs in a browser, so you can use a kiosk you already own, an iPad on a stand, a laptop, guests' own phones by QR code, or all of them at once. Bring the hardware you have, or use none.
