Why EasyMoza, Mazaika and Rapid Mosaic are not on this list

These three rank hard for the head term, so their absence needs a reason. All three are consumer print-mosaic makers: supply a main image and a folder of small photos, get a file or a print. EasyMoza charges 5.95 EUR for an XL download, 9.95 EUR for XXL; Mazaika's Imaging Suite is $84.95 and names artists and designers as its users. None builds live at an event, and none has a display, a contribution flow or moderation.

Mosaically has the most generous free offer here and the easiest start: "It's free to create, share, and collaborate," with a free download, a free video and free shipping, and an invitation to "transform your cherished memories into stunning, one-of-a-kind works of art." The print catalogue is the deepest here: five finished formats from Premium Silver Halide at $129+ through canvas and metal to acrylic and framed pieces at $399+, "Designed in USA. Made in Germany," all behind a "100% Money Back Satisfaction Guarantee." Downloads start at $49+ and video at $299+, built to "play/loop at your event" in up to 4K 60fps. Fan Mosaic runs at "$1 per fan upto 1 million fans. Instant Activation," and the $699+ API tier includes a "live interactive event display" and lets you "add photos from your app." Fit: collaborative and community mosaics, fan campaigns and fundraisers.

Picture Mosaics

Picture Mosaics builds the mosaic for you. Their page describes it as "the only virtual mosaic solution in the world that is capable of live TRUE photo mosaics," with "easy and customizable photo submission flows" and "responsive desktop and mobile experiences," so nothing to install and no kit to buy. Their team does the building: graphic designers, web developers and software engineers who assemble the activation and the finished asset. They publish backend photo moderation tools. Event pricing is a floor rather than a table, "with pricing and packages starting at $0," checked September 2026. Separately, and not their event price, a print and file ladder runs from $39.95 to $5,800. Fit: a produced virtual mosaic built for you around one moment. Foto Master

Foto Master sells a kit. Their page describes software that "creates stunning digital and physical mosaics by assembling live event photos in real-time," and the package adds a 55" TV, a laptop with an i5 and 8GB of RAM, an Epson C4000 label printer and a 48" x 48" board of 24 x 24 tiles. Two prices, checked September 2026: $5,950 bring your own hardware, $9,950 turn key, with year one including Virtual Mosaic, 24/7 support and Cloud Basic. From year two, "PMWall for Windows" is "$99/month per device" and Cloud Basic is "$39/month". Moderation is published: "Approve photos before they reach the wall. Switch it on or off mid event." Activation King

Activation King sells mosaic software by subscription, in a catalogue built for operators. The mosaic is its own line, "Photo Mosaic Wall, Live Interactive Mosaic Software", pitched in one sentence: "Guests' photos build a giant mosaic, live in the room." It starts at $269.00 per month, promotional at the time of checking, September 2026, or $191 a month billed annually, and their prices sit behind a countdown timer, so read the figure on the day. Hardware is priced separately: the AK Photo Booth Pro 32" starts at $8,500.00. Their feature list includes photo moderation and approval. Whether a gallery, slideshow or leaderboard runs alongside the mosaic is not stated publicly on the pages checked. Fit: an operator adding a mosaic to a stack they already run. Sharingbox

Sharingbox's Mosaic Event Manager is a one-time purchase, which is rare now. The product site sells software to "create digital and physical Mosaic images from live event photos in real time." It is "available on Windows 10 only", so you supply the machine, the screen, and a printer if physical tiles are in the plan. The licence is unusually relaxed: a "Lifetime Floating License. Buy it once, and install it on as many computers as you need," running live on one computer at a time. Price is 3300 EUR, taxes not included, with a free trial, checked September 2026. Moderation, lead capture and branding controls are not stated publicly on the page checked. Fit: an operator who owns the screen and the PC and would rather not carry a monthly fee.

PhotoMosaicSoftware.com

PhotoMosaicSoftware.com is the cheapest way into real-time event mosaics if you own the hardware. It sells software to "create physical and digital mosaics at events in real time" in two one-time tiers, checked September 2026: Basic at $1,000 USD with on-site printing, and the Best Seller at $1,300 USD adding live broadcasting. Add-ons are a Selfie Booth at $299 and 360 Software at $349. Each purchase covers "1 year of updates & installation on 1PC", and "all sales are final." It is Windows only, specified down to "Windows 10/11", an "Intel i5 and up" and "RAM from 8 GB". Published collection paths are hot folders, email and a hashtag. Moderation is not stated publicly on the page checked. Fit: an operator with a Windows machine, a screen and a printer in the van.

Interactive Entertainment Group

Interactive Entertainment Group does not sell software. Their "Live Photo Mosaic Wall" is one of a catalogue of staffed experiences their crew builds and runs at your event, from three offices: "Hauppauge NY, Gardena CA, and Bedford Ohio", the widest published footprint among the staffed producers we checked. Guests "Snap a photo at the event or submit a selfie from home" and post it with a custom hashtag to Instagram or Twitter, or use an on-site booth. The software, the moderation model and where the guest data ends up are not stated publicly on the pages checked. Pricing is not published, quote-only, checked September 2026, which is normal for this model: staffed production is priced per event, per city and per crew. Fit: a team that wants a production company to arrive, build it and take it away.

What a live mosaic actually costs to run

The published prices are software prices; the event costs more than the software.

Foto Master publishes the fullest picture: $9,950 turn key or $5,950 bring your own hardware, checked September 2026, with year one genuinely covered and $99 per month per device from year two. A bought kit is capital amortising across every booking, so forty events a year reaches a very different per-event number than two. Their own FAQ gives the cleanest like-for-like figure: they tell operators to charge brands $2,000 to $8,000 per event.

Sharingbox and PhotoMosaicSoftware.com are cheaper in the same shape: 3300 EUR, or $1,000 to $1,300, one time, plus a Windows PC, a large screen and a label printer those pages do not price. Activation King starts at $269.00 per month, promotional at the time of checking.

What those figures leave out is the hardware, the consumables and the person standing beside the machine all night. What ours includes is the platform around the wall: displays, moderation, lead capture, branded delivery and the guest data. Who runs the wall, and who decides what goes on it

Search for photo mosaic wall software and most of what comes back is sold to operators rather than to the brand paying for the event. That split is the real axis: a production company arrives and takes it away; operator software runs on a Windows machine you own and staff; a platform gives your team control over branding while our team handles the build and the data flow.

Moderation is the load-bearing difference, and half this set publishes something about it. Picture Mosaics lists backend photo moderation tools, Foto Master publishes an approval step you can switch on or off mid event, and Activation King lists photo moderation and approval. Ours runs as approve everything, hold everything for manual approval, or AI-assisted screening, configured with our team in the same dashboard as lead capture and the rest of the activation, never a control handed to guests. Sharingbox, PhotoMosaicSoftware.com and the staffed production in this set do not state a moderation model on the pages checked.

Worth saying plainly: a live mosaic can be the whole activation, not a screen attached to a booth.
