Snapbar vs Foto Master: Buy a Mosaic Wall, or Book a Mosaic Activation?
Frequently Asked Questions
How much does a Foto Master photo mosaic wall cost?

Foto Master publishes two packages: the Bring Your Own package at $5,950 and the Turn Key package at $9,950, checked September 2026. Year one includes PMWall for Windows, Virtual Mosaic, 24/7 support and Cloud Basic. From year two, the software is $99 a month per device and the required cloud plan is $39 or $79 a month.

Do you need Windows to run a photo mosaic wall?

For PMWall, yes. Foto Master's photo mosaic software is listed as software for Windows OS and is licensed per device. Browser-based mosaics work differently: Snapbar's Live Mosaic runs in any browser, on a kiosk, an iPad, a laptop, guests' phones by QR code, or all of them at once, with no per-device licence.

Does a photo mosaic need a printer and labels?

Only if the mosaic is physical. Foto Master's Turn Key package includes an Epson C4000 label printer, an ink bundle and 10,000 2" x 2" labels, with refills at $900 per 10,000 pack on their store. An on-screen mosaic needs no printer, no consumables and nobody sticking tiles to a board.

Can guests add photos to a mosaic from their phones?

Yes, on both. Foto Master lists guests' own phones as one contribution route, scanning a QR and uploading. On the Snapbar platform, guests scan a QR code and upload from their phone with no booth session required, and those uploads run through the same moderation and export flow as booth submissions.

What happens when a photo mosaic is full?

It depends on the product. Foto Master's PMWall templates carry a "when the wall is full" setting, and their support documentation describes Stop as a normal end state where later arrivals are not placed. On the Snapbar platform the wall never runs out of room, so every guest makes it in, including late arrivals.

Which is better for a corporate brand activation?

If you're the brand rather than the rental company, the deciding factor is usually the unit. Foto Master sells equipment you own and amortise across many events, which suits an operator. A Snapbar mosaic activation is quoted per event, at approximately $4,000 for 500 guests, with the displays and lead capture included.
