BET and Texas Southern University worked together to create an on-campus Culture Fest around the slogan “Where Black Culture Lives,” celebrating Black creators, entrepreneurs, and politicians. By implementing in-person signage with QR codes they successfully engaged hundreds of students and participants with a digital photo booth experience.

One of the coolest and most unique aspects was that rather than automatically removing the background, like we often do, they defaulted to keeping the background to highlight the event and various photo opportunities with both individuals and groups, on and off-campus.

By cleverly incorporating the digital photo booth into event signage and messaging, TSU with BET engaged over 300 attendees, with over 90% of the participants submitting their custom photos to the event gallery. They also had 85% of participants download their content, showing value in the end results and opening the door for future impact and reach via social sharing.
