The 2023 Northwest Event Show (NWES) in Seattle aimed to create an immersive and interactive experience for its attendees - returning to full force after a break and a slimmed down event the prior year. To add new digital elements to the event returning to in-person, NWES worked with Snapbar to integrate Snapbar's Story and Snapshot products with a social wall powered by Walls.io, successfully amplifying engagement, content creation, and organic social impressions at the event.
As an event partner, Snapbar created an NWES-branded microsite to capture video pre-event, and a Snapshot virtual photo booth for use during which attendees could easily access with a link or QR code placed throughout. The real game-changer was the integration of both video and Snapshot content with the social wall - showcased on a live display as people moved between event areas. This dynamic social wall highlighted a mix of social media posts and unique event content created by attendees, providing a truly interactive and engaging experience.
By placing a display strategically at the mid-point of the event flow - next to their most popular photo op - and incorporating QR codes as sponsored posts on the social wall, it was accessible to anyone passing by or stopping for a quick photo. On top of that, a convenient link was placed right within the event app, powered by Gevme.
Features & Add-ons Used:
The integration of Snapbar's products with the social wall created a unique digital experience at NWES, bridging digital content into the in-person experience. Over 125 people created unique content, automatically contributing to the social wall, with a 28% download rate - leading to more post-event sharing and reach.
Posts to the social wall peaked on the primary day of the event, while Instagram posts using the NWES2023 hashtag ramped up throughout the event, leading to an estimated 20k+ organic social impressions.
The seamless integration of Snapbar's products with the Walls.io social wall transformed the in-person event experience, showcasing the power of combining virtual and physical elements to create a memorable and engaging atmosphere for all attendees. On top of that, the dozens of unique pieces of content created resulted in some awesome post-event photo and video mosaics that NWES can use for marketing the 2024 event, that should only be bigger and better.
