Let’s face it, the future of events is here and it's hybrid. Now that virtual events are ubiquitous and have improved so much over recent years, there will always be people who would rather attend events from the comfort of their homes. On the other hand, some people are always going to prefer in-person. There are many benefits to hybrid events, with greater audience reach being a major one, however one of the biggest challenges with this new approach to events is creating a cohesive experience that is equally engaging and helpful for all attendees.
Snapshot, our web-based virtual photo booth app is a customizable way to connect all event participants and give them a shared experience.
Let’s take a look at some examples of our clients using Virtual Photo Booth for their hybrid events:
Suite World
Suite World 2021 was a hybrid NetSuite conference hosted in Las Vegas. The client wanted to make sure that all participants were engaged and involved in the event whether they were attending virtually or in-person. Their Snapshot virtual photo booth allowed all event attendees to access the same experience and contribute to the photo gallery collectively. We designed custom superhero and comic book style assets for the client to match the theme of the event and encourage participants to get creative with their photos. On location, the event had QR codes available for in-person attendees to scan for quick access to the photo booth on their phones. The client also opened the photo booth early so that guests could take photos before the event. They then created a collage of photos for their event opening, bringing guests together from the start!

Amazon Goes Gold
Amazon Goes Gold is a campaign Amazon hosts annually during the month of September, to raise awareness for childhood cancer. With this goal in mind, throughout the month, Amazon sends out boxes with gold ribbons on them, the international symbol of childhood cancer. They also host days where employees can come to work in their pajamas, to honor kids who are fighting cancer.
For the fifth anniversary of this campaign, Amazon used our Virtual Photo Booth to encourage employees to take "Go Gold" photos and post them on social media with the hashtags #AmazonGoesGold and #PJammin, to further support the cause. The Amazon Goes Gold Snapshot photo booth included custom backgrounds and frames, as well as our Name Badge feature that allowed users to write their name and work site on their photo. Over 1200 photos were taken over the course of the month. After the event, we created a static mosaic with all of the campaign photos, to create a unified image depicting this years’ "Goes Gold" campaign.

Kansas City University
Kansas City University was hosting a staff Thanksgiving Town Hall hybrid event. Using Snapshot to accommodate people attending online and in-person, everyone was able to participate! For the in-person aspect, the event utilized QR codes around the office for people to access the photo booth on their own phones. With custom frames, backgrounds, and in-office party decor, they were able to create a cohesive gallery featuring all of the attendees. Before the event, they had the Snapbar team create a video mosaic for them to show at the event.
