Updated March 8th 2018
March 8th, 2018 marks International Women’s Day, a day set aside to celebrate the achievements of women in the fight for gender equality and respect. We have had the honor to take part in many events highlighting powerful stories, change-making women, community building, and potential for engagement. We are extremely excited to celebrate the women of Seattle and this world as a whole. But even more specifically, we would like to show our immense appreciation for the women we have the honor of working with every day -- the women of The SnapBar!
Jessica is one of our SnapBar Pros based in Seattle. Her Instagram bio describes her as a "wife, mother, dork, photo booth wizard," and we think this rings true! She has an eye for perfection and is the team champ at hilarious meme creation (she won a gift card through a company meme making competition). She's was instantly a natural fit to the team and continually exceeds our expectations.
Rachel is our Portland City Director, and she is always down for a fun time. In fact--she often brings the fun to the time. She has a contagious laugh, and she says she tries to live up to her middle name, Joy. It shows in her photos! She is a wife and podcaster with unique and fun style. She even has her own brand, Cool Girl Rach, which claims that watches are dorky. She has been doing an amazing job of spreading The SnapBar throughout Portland and giving our clients amazing experiences!
Georgia is one of our Beloved SnapBar Pros. She had to leave us for a while to follow her calling to YWAM. You know they say, "when you love someone, let them go -- If they love you, they'll come back." Well... She's coming back! Yay! She has impeccable fashion sense, can make a mean cup of chai, and he has some amazing artistic abilities! We're looking forward to sending her back out into the Seattle wild!
Rachael is our Lead Events Director. Without her, we would be an unorganized mess! Seriously... she's like our foundation. When I think of people who make an amazing name for working women in this world, I think of Rachael. She's always finding new systems and better ways to do things. She leads her teams with the same care she has for her clients. She is an avid coffee drinker -- just try and find her without a cup of coffee close by. She loves black & white films and photos, her hometown in the Bay, her husband, both the British and American versions of football, and events of all kinds, whether coordinating or attending. She's also our designated grammar police.
Brianna is our Events Director and blog writer extraordinaire! -- okay, maybe not extraordinaire. But she's a writer at heart and she has helped our content marketing growth as well as provided great content for us to share with our clients. She is also the leader of our new Non-Profit Outreach Program call SnapBar Gives Back. She loves tea and going on adventures when she can. She thinks that photos are a quintessential part of life and wishes she could take more for memory sake. You never know what color her hair will be when she walks in the door. Is it blonde? Is it red? Is it blue? It's one of the great mysteries of this age.
Kat is possibly one of our kindest, most polite Pros to date. She is so sweet and has a heart of gold. She's passionate about helping the causes she believes in and carries that over into her position at The SnapBar. She has helped SnapBar Gives back find causes to donate to and offered to volunteer her time to those events. She is a die-hard runner, loves to read, and is a Dawg at heart!
Kiry is another one of our amazing Pros! She came on just before our busy holiday season and has been a great addition to the team! She is sweet, professional, and very timely. She has been a barista and has worked in customer service. She loves dogs, is incredibly photogenic (Pro bonus), and has an impeccable fashion sense. She's out there crushing it and making a name for herself!
Annie is one of our newest Pros and killing it! She came on in our holiday season, and we threw her in the deep end. Luckily, she knows how to adapt to new situations well -- likely due to her being from a military family. She's a ray of sunshine and one of our quickest responders. In her free time, she propagates succulents and does Macrame. She stays active outside of events and does yoga regularly, which probably accounts for her happy vibe!
Deborah is one of our three Portland Pros and knows how to have a good time at events. Originally from the Bay area with a heart sweet as pie, she wants everyone to be involved in the fun things. She will stick up and support any brand that she believes in and will be their ambassador (Adidas and Madewell to name a couple). She is a great communicator and question-asker. She has been a big help to Rachel while we grow our Portland business and spread The SnapBar Love!
With only being able to highlight a few of the women who help The SnapBar (not to mention all of the wives of our employees), we want you all to know how thankful we are for you! Keep up the great work, and Happy International Women's Day!
