Getting a photographer to take professional business headshots for your corporate employees can be a less-than-fun process. To start, they are generally extremely expensive. Many photographers charge per employee, which, if your company is of a decent size, this can add up quickly! Secondly, the session itself can be an awkward experience for many. Flashback to high school photos, anyone? But seriously, these photos represent your employee's identity in their work place, plus, they need to look professional. So naturally, people tend to be uncomfortable, or even nervous. What's more, you generally can't see your photos until days or even weeks after the photos were taken. So who knows whether you look like a professional with a smile, or a total doof?
So, how do you create a comfortable environment that allows both you and your employees to be happy with their resulting photos without breaking the bank? Seem nearly impossible?
Recently, we were hired by a large company to use our photo booth to take corporate headshots for their 400 employees. Over the course of a day at their yearly conference, we were able to move most of their team through The SnapBar Headshot Booth. After this event, we were contracted to return to the company HQ quarterly to continue taking headshots of their growing team and allow those who wanted to update their photo a chance to do it sooner than later.
While the cost breakdown differs from contact to contract, using a photo booth to capture headshots will almost always be more budget-friendly than using photographers who charge anywhere from $55 to $200+ per person.
On top of that, the employees weren't nervous, they had fun, and it was easy for them to smile! We used one of our backdrops to add a splash of blue in the back. Everyone looked great, and if they didn't like their initial photo, we kept snapping until they were happy! We then edited each photo and sent them back to the company the next day.
Headshots also add a lot of value to job seekers at job fairs like TechFair 2018. The SnapBar's new collection of bright backdrops adds a nice pop of color which is sure to be an eye-catcher on LinkedIn or your resume.
So to recap, if you don't want to spend an absurd amount of money on quality headshots while keeping your employees, conference-goers, or sponsors happy-- consider a Headshot photo booth!
